Battle of the Bloom

Here I see a battle in the middle of the bloom.
One of them eventually will have to face their doom.
I do not bother them in any way, the plants have a plan.
But, now I know that not all battles are only fought by man.

Southern Belle Waiting

The southern belle is waiting in the hot summer sun.
The pretty girl in pink is waiting to have some fun.
She tries to hide behind her fan.
See her with me if you can.
What the flowers leave behind is up for debate.
I take their photographs because I think they're great.

Elf

Wow, I photographed an elf.
Already framed and on my shelf.
He wears a white ruffled collar, green shirt and cone hat.
What is he doing in there, is that a bird or a cat?
The elf is reaching into the leaf, you can see his green sleeve.
He is hiding something, or stealing, that is what I perceive.

Head Hunter

This dying flower is scary.
This is definitely not a fairy.
He holds what looks like a skull.
Nothing in nature is ever dull.

Looking At Me

I see that flower looking at me.
I take a few pictures then let you be.
I see you in the dirt lot by the pool.
You hang there obscure, but I think your cool.
Yesterday, I saw that the humans ripped you out.
They don't quite know what your really are all about.
The new flowers will be planted tomorrow.
But, today I am filled with such grief and sorrow.
I will miss you there by the pool in the dirt.
I hope you are okay, and that it didn't hurt.

Washington Walking

This was taken at Willow Tree Village where I am a resident.
He looks like the first American President.

Little White Riding Hood

She wears a white cloak, with a cute little ruffled hood.
Her standing there before the purple flowers, as she should.
She has something to announce to all the flowers.
She wears white now and has some serious powers.
All of the foliage will listen to what she has to say.
Then she will be gone to go her own separate way.
